IC Information:
Name: Sarah
Fandom: Labyrinth
Timeline: After defeating (post-canon)
Age: 15
Appearance: Long, straight, dark hair and dark eyes; very attractive. She's slender and wears a white poet shirt with a light-colored vest over it that she leaves open and straight-leg blue jeans.
Abilities: Sarah is an average human, and thus has no special abilities in the way of magic; however, she can be very clever, should the need arise, and she knows her fairy tales inside and out. She can also solve fairly confusing logic puzzles and is very determined once she sets her sights on a goal.
Personality: Sarah is, at heart, a good girl, but she tends to be very childish and immature, and, not to mention, spoiled. She's hard-headed and short-tempered, but she is a very loyal friend and can be very forgiving, as well. In that sense, Sarah was tsundere before tsundere was cool.

If you get on her wrong side, she can be an annoyance; however, if you befriend her, which isn't as difficult as it sounds, she can also be very protective and helpful. While her motherly instincts aren't exactly well-developed, she makes an attempt to be gentle and warm when she feels she needs to. She's a dreamer and a romantic, and she knows the fairytale cliches by heart.

History:
Sarah's parents divorced, her father remarrying another woman with a baby, Toby; Sarah is asked to watch the child one evening when her parents go out. She argues with her parents and, angry and frustrated, begins to tell Toby a "story" when he refuses to stop crying.

The story is of a beautiful young girl who was a "slave" to her wicked stepmother and demanding stepbrother, a baby. In the story, the Goblin King had fallen in love with the young girl and, at her wish, took the baby away to his castle and made him into a goblin. Sarah doesn't realize then that her story is true, and that the goblins were listening to her every word; when she leaves the room, she turns and says that she wishes the goblins would take Toby away-- "Right now."

As she wishes, the goblins do come and take Toby, and the Goblin King himself enters in the form of a white owl and tries to convince Sarah to forget about him and go on with her life. Sarah, however, refuses, insistant that she has to get Toby back; at length, the Goblin King gives in and allows her to go into the Labyrinth. He gives her 13 hours to get through the Labyrinth; if she fails to reach the castle at the center before the 13 hours run out, Toby will be turned into a goblin and will remain there forever.

Sarah navigates the Labyrinth on her own at first, but she soon befriends Hoggle, a dwarf, a small but very brave knight called Sir Didymus, and a large, shaggy, simple creature named Ludo.

Hoggle, a man of questionable loyalty, at best, is soon shown to be a double-agent and a coward, frightened into trying to mislead or stop Sarah before she can reach the castle by the Goblin King himself. He nearly accomplishes this goal when he unwillingly gives her a peach that Jareth, the Goblin King, cast some kind of spell on (or possibly even poisoned.) The moment Sarah realizes what's happening, she asks Hoggle what he's done, even as the peach began to take effect; cursing both himself and Jareth, Hoggle flees.

Sarah falls into a dream set in a nightmarishly beautiful ball. She wanders through the crowd at first, frightened, but she soon catches sight of Jareth. They dance, but Sarah soon notices that something's terribly wrong, and she breaks away and shatters the dream, waking in a pile of trash. Whatever's been done, her memory of Toby and why she's there in the first place is gone, and a junk creature leads her to what seems to be her own room. she throws herself onto her bed and tells herself that it was just a dream.

But, unfortunately, one of the trash creatures enters her room soon after. Even still, Sarah doesn't seem to remember until she sits at her vanity and takes out the Labyrinth book she has; she reads a passage from it about a child who had been taken, and then she suddenly remembers and breaks her way out of the room, revealing that it was all a trick to stop her from retrieving Toby. Outside, she's reunited with her friends (except for Hoggle,) and they all go together into the goblin city surrounding the castle.

A long battle ensues when Jareth is alerted that they've entered the gates. During a battle with a large, metal creature that had been built into the gate, Hoggle reappears and pulls its helmet off, shoving the goblin inside out and taking the controls himself to stop it. He jumps out after sabotaging it as it explodes, and Sarah rushes to him; he seems prepared for her to hate him, but she forgives him and thanks him for saving them.

when they reach the castle itself, Sarah tells them that she has to face Jareth alone-- they don't understand, but they let her go alone, telling her that, should she need them, they'll be there. Sarah thanks them and rushes into the final stage of the film and her final destination: a room that's made up of an elaborate system of impossible stairs and doorways. Gravity seems to have no hold in the room for anyone but Sarah herself.

Jareth soon reveals himself, dressed in black, and Toby appears, as well, playing around the impossible room. The King sings bitterly to Sarah as she tries to catch Toby, telling her that he'd done everything for her. At length, Sarah comes to a ledge, directly below which sits Toby. She steels herself and then jumps off, and the room breaks apart around her; she lands in an abstract version of the room, Jareth stepping out of the shadows now all in white. He talks to her and tells her that he'd been generous and done everything she asked, and, if she would belong to him, he would be her slave.

But Sarah thinks, trying to find the words. She begins to recite the Labyrinth book at him, and he backs away from her, pleading with her to listen and to stop. When she recites the final words-- "You have no power over me"-- he admits his loss by returning her home. She runs to Toby's room and finds that he's also been returned.

Sarah returns to her room as her parents get home from their date. She is seen putting away many of her toys and childish things, as well as photographs as her birth mother. Behind her in the mirror, her friends from the Labyrinth reappear, telling her that they'll be there, should she need them. She tells them that she always needs them, and they all suddenly appear in the room with her and celebrate. Outside the window, a white owl is seen watching them, and then it flies into the night.
